I don’t have our team numbers or my individual numbers, I just know that I kept moving the whole time and was uber tired. This was the hardest team Saturday that I have been to by far. My running has been getting progressively better and I felt like they got stronger as the workout went longer. The very last run I took the lead in the first 50 and was a half a step behind Brian (the gazelle of the group) at the 175 mark. I lengthened out my strides and was pumping pretty hard. As soon as I broke those strides, I died. I let about 7 people pass me, but am happy that I really gave the last one my all and didn’t leave anything behind. As I get stronger, I’m going to last longer and those people won’t be able to pass me.

My competiviness seems to have gotten the best of me though; on Sunday it felt like 15 people punched my upper quad as hard as they could in the same spot, I looked like Verbal Kint limping around the whole time. I got a massage from the best massage therapist known to man, Krissy, and that helped a lot. She spent a lot of time on my leg, making sure everything was okay. She also worked on my hamstrings, which, as soon as the quad stopped hurting as much, decided to tighten up and be sore. I can’t even imagine how bad I would feel today if she didn’t help me out! Needless to say, I didn’t go to the gym this morning. Hopefully I can get there tomorrow morning.
Big party weekend this weekend and the diet was the causualty of that. As I’m getting closer, I am relaxing my diet too much, have to stay focused on getting to where I want to be. Back on the wagon today, ready to resume my quest to 175!
